King's relatives have long argued that the crime was never fully examined by the courts, and brought the lawsuit in an attempt to learn the truth. This is followed by a welcome from the president of the organization, a calendar of events, information on research services, a listing of genealogical charts and forms that can be ordered for a fee, a listing of genealogy computer interest groups, a compilation of genealogy bulletin board systems, and tips for beginners. Perhaps the pièce de résistance at this site is a huge file called the "Genealogist's Guide to the Internet." The first, from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Deliquency Prevention (OJJDP), is the 1999 national report on Juvenile Offenders and Victims, "the most comprehensive source of information about juvenile crime, violence, and victimization and about the response of the juvenile justice system to these problems." The US Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released these two information resources. The first is a web version of the well-known print publication Monthly Labor Review. Unfortunately, the current labor statistics section, which makes up an important part of the publication, is not duplicated, but there is a pointer to BLS' data page, where this data can be found. The National Portrait Gallery hosts on-line companions to their current exhibitions. "Le Tumulte Noir" is a collection of 14 lithographs by Paul Colin, French poster artist and life-long friend of Josephine Baker. Inspired by Baker and the Jazz music and dance that captivated Paris in the late 1920s, Colin published a portfolio of color lithographs in 1929 entitled "Le Tumulte Noir" ("The Black Craze"). This NPG site offers a history of Colin and Baker's friendship and the jazz scene in 1920s Paris as well as the lithographs themselves. The exhibition is on view at the NPG through September 14. "Breaking Racial Barriers" is a selection of twenty portraits of distinguished African-Americans that were part of the Harmon Foundation exhibition that toured the US in the early 1950s in the cause of combatting racial inequity.
